Re: supercharger question

Most often when you put an aftermarket supercharger on a car/truck you will need other parts. Exhaust will be important as will more fuel.

exhaust isn't as big an issue as melting the stock pistons. It is always a good idea to switch to forged. Some manufacturers say you can run stock pistons but it's risky and severly limits your boost capability. I figure if you're going to spend the money might aswell boost the piss out of it. Tranny will need to be done as power increases too. Bigger injectors to prevent a lean condition that will melt pistons. Computer will need to be reprogrammed too, usually comes with charger kit as will the fuel upgrades in most instances. Any other mods you do will help. Pressurized engines respond more to restrictions in pumping ability (air in/out)
