Thanks for your inquiry. Here is my take on the VW:

This can be your dream car if you dare to invest a bit into tuning and cosmetic work. This rare car is equipped with a VR6 engine and 5 speed transmission that both perform very well. I had the car all prepped before moving from Scottsdale, Arizona to Raynham, Massachussetts where it got shipped (by enclosed van). At about that time the water pump gave up on me and I ended up getting a 3 year lease on a Jetta 1.8T Station Wagon. Although it has always been a project of mine to bring this amazing performance car to its original state, I never got to it. The car has been sitting in my garage collecting dust. Pity ! The car is running but has Arizona plates, and therefore cannot be driven without first being registered in Massachussetts. This is one of the reasons I'm letting it go at a reasonable price. This is a 4 seater that does 0-60 mph in 6.4 seconds.

On the negative side :

No heater core (it’s bypassed) .. Volkswagen of America has issued a recall for components of the heat exchanger. This affected 6217 units (NHTSA Campaign ID 98V295000).
sunroof and spoiler do not operate (electric issues ?)
left fender has a moderate size ding (neighbor did it)
needs new water pump. I can have a new water pump installed this for the cost of the parts if you're interested.
