Re: 91 civic dx to a d15 swap need help asap!!!
dx should have a d15 in it, just swap on a vtec head, it will be the same thing.

Re: 91 civic dx to a d15 swap need help asap!!!
for the most part it will just drop in, a few wiring changes for the vtec mostly. look up a mini-me swap guide for the wiring changes on the factory harness.

Re: 91 civic dx to a d15 swap need help asap!!!
I'm doing that mini-me swap right now, and I've done all the research, if you keep your d15b2 block and put on the d16z6 vtec head, you will get a higher compression ratio than swapping the whole thing to the jdm d15b-thus more horsepower. Since you have a DX car, you have to do the DPFI-MPFI conversion, which is the biggest bitch. Since someone did mine, I have no idea how to do it, search the forums or net for a walk-through on MPFI conversion.
But once that is done, just get a VAFC (Vtec Air Flow Control) and go to this site... http://crx.honda-perf.org/articles/z6swap/z6swap.html |
