starts then stalls

Well my problem is that when i start my car it immediatly sputters and stalls , i have done a few thing, checked my fuel pressure, stays steady at 45 PSI, cleaned my fuel injectors, also checked them with a noid light (constant flash), clean fuel rail up, replaced my ignition coil, cap and rotor (tryed rotating 180 also), ignition modual, checked all plugs for spark, wires and plugs only have 5000 miles on em, replaced my fuel filter, replaced my MAP sensor, thats aboout it, and im still getting the same problem, o yeah also added fuel injector cleaner into the tank and some gas dry just to be safe, the car is a 1991 pontiac firebird, stock V-6 3.1L, if ne one had any suggestions, i would be very greatful, thanks in advance all

P.S. if it helps, the problem happened while driving, sputterd and stalled, got towed back to house, hasnt started since

Hey, I was having the same problem. These guys on here were a lot of help, unfortunately we had a big storm and I could not reply and when it would I wasn't able to. Anyway what was wrong with it, was the battery itself, not the terminals or anything. I went through 3 bottles of Techron or Teckron, however that's spelled, and it would start fine then go back to stalling. I recommend trying a new battery.

Re: starts then stalls

I got few q's for you
When you start it does any kind of smoke come out?
How long does the car stay on when you start it?
Is fuel coming in from injectors?
The problem sounds fuel oriented, however if it sputters it might be other things.
Battery ( bad bird is right) it might be a cheap one.
Also, bad compression (far fetched, but worth checking out).
Use good oil, mobil one will do the magic.
Its kind of hard to tell what it is as of now, but if you answer my q's it might be able to help.

My friend "a old mechanic" knows every single damn thing, and he is always right. Its crazy, but its true, so I'll ask him for his input.
Good luck

Re: starts then stalls

yeah a little smoke came out a few times from me trying to start it, but tht might be from spraying down the intake with carb cleaner, car usually stays started for 2-3 seconds, i have got it to stay on for about 30 seconds by playing with the throttle a bit, but all it dose is sputter and has a really rough idle, battery is a cheaper type, i have been useing decent oil, usually mobile for cars over 75k miles, oil in car only had 600 miles on it, duno how to check to see if fuel is coming from the injectors, but i know i am getting a constant flash with noid light hooked up to them
