OT for OTq

There isn't a forum for this, so I thought I'd chuck it here.

How does one go about selling photos of the cars manufacterers haven't released yet? Like during road testing.

I might hit Europe after Uni and a good source of income would be nice.

Re: OT for OTq

Well, buy a Camera, take a photo, go to *Insert major car-press here* and then sell it to them.

Of course you need to be able to run from an angry group of engineers....

I wasn't sure if you went directly to the publisher or to the mag direct.

Run? Of course I can run, chap!

I've just watched the original Italiano Job, I know what to do.

1. I only want to blow the bloody doors off.

2. Don't put all the pictures in the back of the car.

3. Watch out for angry men with front end loaders.

Depending on the magazine thier generaly the same thing.

But remember there are people who already do it proffesionaly.

The chances of you being in the just the right place at the just the right time, and getting a photo thats better than one of the pros, and then getting it to the publisher/editor before they do is pretty damn slim.

It would be cool if it did happen, and good luck, but you really need to a 6megapixel SLR Digi Cam and quick access to a high speed internet conection so you can email it off.

Re: OT for OTq

Alright, I'll rephrase it.

From what time until when do the guards sleep?

From experience, 2330-0430.

Not true. Good friend of mine lived in Coventry (UK) whilst at uni and managed to get several spy shots of the Jag X-type before it came out. They tried to outrun him but he was able to keep in touch in his own car to take several good pics. You just have to know where the factories are and be patient. However some mags dont buy the pics, they just give you a free suscription or something...

In my area, you'll see cars like that ever once in a while. They're usually in canyon roads.

I wouldn't say no to a free subscription.

Unless it was for Max Power, I'd kick anyone in the nuts for even offering me a subscription to that!
