A'pexi VAFC
Well I'm looking to buy an A'pexi VAFC VTEC controller very soon and I was just wondering if anyone has found it any cheaper than $320? That is the cheapest I have been able to find it so far. I actually found it for $268 on www.takakaira.com but I figure that since it is coming from Japan that the manuals might be in Japanese and the wiring may be different than the one for the US model engines. On top of that by the time I pay to get it shipped from Japan it would probably be around the same price. If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.

I'll tell you what I find. Right now it looks like I'll be paying $320 for it though because I haven't found it any cheaper yet.

Well I looked at the manuals and the only thing that kind of sucks is that you have to actually splice into the wires that come out of the ECU. I was initially under the impression that the A'pexi V-AFC would just have some type of harness that would plug in somehow. I'm kind of leary of splicing into my wires that come from my ECU. I wonder if it's a really big deal. Has anyone here actually installed one?

fields makes a harness for their vtec controller. you can maybe even use it directly not sure...
i spliced mine and soldered all the connections. best way to go.

Re: A'pexi VAFC
go to ebat my friend got one for $180. But i have a question why we are on the VAFC i am getting an integra gsr engine but for now my engine is non vtec and i was wondering if the vafc would still work on my non vtec and just not be able to use the vtec features.

Re: A'pexi VAFC
you can't use the vafc for the non-vtec to my knowledge. check out ebay and ardperformance.com for a harness so you don't have to splice wires and possibly ruin your ecu....the harness is $170 i believe. well worth it in my opinion....
