91 wont start

i just bought a 1991 eclipse turbo. New to the mitsubishi thing. I replaced the water pump and the radiator and not it wont start. it just cranks and cranks and cranks and nothing. what could be the problem?

Are you getting spark? Are you getting fuel? Try not to be so broad...there could be lots of stuff wrong.

And you say it DID run before you changed the water pump and radiator? You could have pulled a wire somewhere, check your connections.

i am getting spark and fuel. could i have screwed up the timeing that bad that it wont start?

Try runnin a diagnostic check, if you dont know how, under the dash on the left hand side theres your fuse panel theres a vertical plug.

With the ignition off, connect the analog voltmeter between The OBD output terminal(top left), and the GROUND (bottom right).

It will give you jumps, like one long jump and 4 short jumps or 5 long, 6 shorts. Always long jumps first. Take them down and let me know.

Also, if its a whole bunch of shorts than its ot getting an error code.

timing is not a easy process on these cars! i can almost gaurantee it's that considering if you have spark and fuel... www.vfaq.com has a picture by picture guide for timing, check it out!
