Tweeters!

Ok, so i've got everything else i need, nice deck, bass, all of that. My speakers are pioneer so they sound ok. But i definantly need some tweeters, since i'm moslty bumpin to rap. ( By the way, i'm going to cut holes in the dash by the windshield on both sides to stick them through. ) Anyone reccomend some good quality titanium cone ones? I've heard alpine's, ....wow, they are great, but to much $$$$ for me. Any ideas? -thanks in advance

Re: Tweeters!

you already have tweeters, they came with your pioneer speakers

or are you one of those "treble bumpers" who drive through the neighborhood with the treble blasting making the people in their homes want to gouge out their eardrums with a pitchfork?

Hahahaha, lmao, yea i know those people. Nah man i've got:
Ok, so ive got:
2 12" Power Acoustik Fubr's DVC 2 ohm
1 Gage rockford wiring with 300 amp fuse
2 High performance rockford RCA's
1 farad rockford capacitor
Power acoustik A3000DB Digital Mono Amp w/ remote
Pioneer 2-channel Amp
Pioneer DEH-P7600MP Head Unit
Pioneer front 3x5 speakers
Pioneer rear 6x9 speakers

In a hatchback, so it pumps. Yea, the pioneer's do have great treble, but with so much damn bass, i want to mount some tweeters up on the front of the dash (by the windshield) because that helps alot. My brother has done it. Plus, with so much bass, i think music sounds better when you even out the treble, well i think so. So, any ideas on where to get tweeters then?

( ps, does anyone know how to reinforce a hatchback window, mine will surely break when its turned up loud, moves like water.... )

Re: Tweeters!

well you'll need an amp for them, and you'll need one with a built in crossover that can be turned high enough to be effective (3khz or so). As for the tweets themselves, there are hundreds....LPG, Scanspeak, Seas, Morel, JL....how much are you looking to spend?

Ummm, not to much. I'd say the best i could get for 50$. But i'm sure that might be a little cheap. So under 100$ for sure. The cheaper the better, they dont have to be top quality.

I won't amp them, my brother has alpine titanium cone's just wired into his front output. Of course i wont get the full potential, but it's damn good enough for me. Since i'm amping my speakers, i could just use the full 50 X 2 for the front. ( 25 x 2 rms ) Sounds good enough for me.

Do you think those tweeters would be a good deal? Very cheap too!

Re: Tweeters!

go for it...
I have the infinity reference components,
and I think (not sure) that's the tweet they use.
they're super efficient, so I just use the -3db
setting on the component crossover...
