wideband o2 sensor ivtec k24 engines

does anyone know if the k24 engines (mine is an ELEMENT) rely on readings from a a stock wideband O2 sensor. I thought I saw an article that indicated that the K24 now runs fuel/air ratios closed loop all the time-even at high RPMS-which points to the use of a stock wideband sensor since typically a narrowband sensor (if used) is able to give accurate readings only at relatively low RPMS. If stock uses wideband, then I wont have to buy the O2 sensor when I buy my fuel air logger.

Not sure about that one, but you will have to wire it o a reader, since the A/F sensors usually read only the voltage signal, while you ECU translates it correctly, the meter will only read the one signal.
