'99 Blazer Rear Hatch

the glass window on my rear hatch will not latch shut. when i push the button it makes the little noise, but no matter how hard i slam or push it shut, it won't latch. can anybody help me out?

have you tried to remove the inside panel and see if there in room for adjustments with the latch???

do you have a latch release on the dash????

haven't tried to remove the panel yet but that's next on my list. what would the release on the dash have to do with it?

Maybe the release on the dash could be stuck or faulty, causing the latch not to close properly?

I have the same problem. I can push the latch closed with the window open but it won't stay locked. I tried it with the power disconected at the dash button.

When mine did that it was the fact that the latch had worked loose...I had to remove cover and retighten...has been working fine for a few years now
