My cousin had a 94 Si HB and i remember getting up to 140+ MPH on the highway once. He now has a 92 SiR HB (DX w/a B16A) and he can only get up to 125 MPH before the fuel cuts off. Doesnt make sense to me. But anyways, i dont think there is a cutoff.

Drift, isn't the top speed of the Type SH lude something like 143 if I remember right? Not a cut off point, but just where it maxes out at on level ground? Not sure what the base model top speed is, but I'm wonder what ungoverend speed yours has topped out at?

Car and Driver measured the top speed of the '97 SH at 139 MPH.

This is basically engine redline in 5th gear. With a higher redline or a taller gear, it could get a little faster.

SY2KC - FYI, I hit 130 (according to the speedo) in 5th going UP the 2 freeway between the 134 and 210. So I know it's not aerodynamically limited.

i can vouch for that, i hit just shy of 140 going up a very slight incline.

in 5th gear you are cut off at about 115, but you can drop into 4th and get to about 122 before you hit the rev. limit.

i've gotten to about 115 in 5th but never tried it in 4th, you also need to realize that your not really going 115 more like 107, this is because there is an 8 mph "speed thingy" put in after you hit into the mid 80's...i'm pretty sure about this feel free to currect me if i'm wrong
