didn't you already start a topic about this?
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=218850 And damn, I had no idea you were asking to buy your first bike. I thought you were here long enough to know none of those are good first bike.

Re: CBR or Suzuki
Definately get the RR. That bike is the nicest bike overall ive ridden, next to MY 6.
Youll get good throttle response with either one. FI being the main reason. IMO the gixxers look damn near the same from 98 and on. Just slight changes here and there. The RR is one sexy bike too. Most likely will be my next bike. And yet again we got a guy getting info he wasnt asking about. He asked which of the bikes was the better buy, not if they are good first bikes.

he he. I love it when you two fight. Not to take sides but i agree with EG about giving info asked and Z-man because I too was under the impression that you had already bought a bike
quote from a thread started when Z-man was a newbie from 1.5 liter: just bought a 1981 750 seca about 2 months ago and im getting the hang of it already. i bought the bike for $300 bucks off a freind. In july im taking the MSF course at cerritos college. u just need really big balls to have the courage to learn to ride a motorcycle. my dad really dose'nt want me to get a sport bike but im going to get it any way. i know its dangerous but hey! u only live once!!! Report Post | IP: Logged any how, what year are you asking about. pre 98 gixers are fun but a little underpowered by todays standards but it would be better to learn on the cbr. Honda's are renown for being easy to ride and very forgiving in the event of a fuck-up! that goes for most years 96+

thanks for clearing it up Aussie.
He already has/had a bike, so not exactly getting a first bike. So my apologies to 1.5 liter. btw Blayne, I thought 600RR got its distinction in 2003. Before it was basically the CBR600, F Sport, and F4(i)/F3/F2 right? So if he's talking about the RR, it can't be pre-2003.
