how bad are replicas?

really how bad are they? i seen a few on the streets they look fine but i dunno...what if you cant afford and really want one? do you not recommened?

It all depends on who built it, the engine, the body, the chassis...and everything. Unless you built it yourself you can never be certain. My dad owns a 63 GT0 replica V 12 and its perfect...even though I dont like replicas.

depends on how far you take the building of the replica.

i mean, you can pretty much re-create an original ford GT40 using near as much the same parts as the original (GTD40 anyone?)
then there's the lynx XKSS that is the same as the original Jaguar, just built by a different company.

then, at the bottom of the list are the ones that use a donor car with body kits and such added.

...like Fiero-based "308"s. Which still doesn't stop me from wanting one, especially if I could get a Buick 3800 drivetrain to fit in it...
