|
tubular chassis construction/adaption
Hey I was wondering if anyone has any info on converting the front and rear of vehicles to tubular construction, I know alot of quarter milers have the front chopped off and a new front welded on this is kinda what I am looking for, except I wish to be doing it front and rear and am looking for any tips from anyone with experiance

Havent done it but I think I could.
Remove the front clip, fabricate a new one with tubes. However its a bit more complicated. I wish I could help you more, sorry.

well the actual fabbing of it wouldnt be a problem, I have 3 chassis that I can measure and work with for spacing,
the main question is what do I need to be careful of with the attachment of it to the firewall. |

Just make sure your welds to the existing frame rails are super sturdy.
