Coilovers?!?

I am interested in dropping my 94 Accord EX 4dr. It is still my moms car and have to do everything with permission, at least till she gets a new car anyway. But I need the ride to be as close as possible to what it is now. I have 18's wit 40 series tires on right now. But my ride is still good I feel bumps but nothin major.

I am willing to spend a good amount. I have about 850 right now. But I will be getting more. I have been considering the APEXi WS dampers.
I just want a nice ride... and i know the best way to have that is true coilovers.
Ill make it easier to reply buy numbering my ?'s.

#1 Anything else you can tell me about them? Quality, warrenty etc..

#2 How much can I expect to pay for these coilovers (APEXi WS dampers)?

#3 Camber kit?

#4 Do you get alignment after you install camber kit, i mean how do you know what to set the camber at if the kit is already installed???

#5 If this is about a 1000... How much more is installation? I have no clue how to do this. About as advanced i am is, I installed my Short ram intake. What kind of places do this? (Kauffman, Butler?) And how much???

What are the advantages of a shock/spring combo compared to true coilovers??

I don't do any racing. I just want the car lowered about 2 inches and have a nice ride, as close to possible as it is now.

its not a good idea to leave true coilovers at stock height. If u leave it that high the wheels might jump off the ground over bumps because the spring might max out the strut. The spring should not be compressed when the wheel is off the ground.



my accord is ridding on progress coilovers. when they first went in i had them pretty high(close to stock height) and it handle like crap. the rear jumped off the ground and stuff. the current height is the best handling and best rideing height.

i think it's a hassle to adjust the height with coilovers... it seems to me that everytime i try to adjust mine, i can never get the right height i want and sometimes one wheel will be higher than the other....

and also everytime you adjust the height, you need to get an alignment...so be aware.

Why don't you save your money until the car is yours and you can do what ever you want?

If you drop the car 2 inches, you WILL need much stiffer springs so the car is not going to ride as well, plus the concerns of "can I make it into this parking lot?" Not exactly what Mom wants to be thinking about on a daily basis.
