EGR Blockoff?

are EGR block off plates worth the money? now i have a general idea of what the egr system does but would blocking it off really create a nice gain in anything? also is it easy to install block off plates? just wondering cuz they look like a cheap and easy mod.

very much so worth it, not only do they get rid of exhaust gas recyling in your engine, but it makes it sooooo much easier to work on my vr-4, soooo much more space, plus, think about, exhaust going back into the engine? to be burned again..... that doesnt sound to attractive does it, nor healthy.
