No power to starter, but it does work
I turn the key, and no rollover. I bypass the switch and put the solenoid to the bat. and it turns over. WTF?
I don't get it... Any help on this one now?

Re: No power to starter, but it does work
I take it that you checked & aren't getting 12V+ from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid trigger. If it's an early '89 it will have a starter (seat belt) interlock relay. If it's automatic it has a park/neutral safety switch you may need to check.

Re: No power to starter, but it does work
Ok, where's the interlock relay? The seatbelt has been corrected, and it's not the neutral safety switch, anyone have any ideas what else it might be?

Re: No power to starter, but it does work
If your VIN is after 1G...KW400000 it will have the starter interlock relay. It is in position 13, that's not on the lower main two row relay panel but the add-on two row section above. It is on the lower row, first on the left. If it's before that VIN it should be position 8 in the main section, that's the lower row, second from the left
