Hi everyone!
I'm very very new at this car thing, and was hoping for a hand. I just purchased my first car, a 98 Corolla VE and am very happy with it (although am working with the insurance company *groan*). I have a 30 day guarentee on the little lady from the used car place I got it from. The car has automatic, a tape player, overdrive and air. My biggest question involves the wipers. It appears that the wipers which are on my car are even more downgraded then the simple ones in the manual. They have low, high and intermintent settings. They will also squirt when you pull it towards you. The funny part is that the wipers don't go when you squirt, it's a seperate function. The manual says it's supposed to automatically wipe, and I'm wondering if there's a malfunction or if I have some very special, simplistic wipers (which I can get used to very easily). Also, the light in my shift conosole has gone out (well, it was never on in the first place). Is this something I can replace, or do I need to get the dealership to do so? Thanks for any help you can give me. Jessica |

actually, the wipers ARE supposed to auto wipe when you spray the wiper fluid. you may want to check into that. also check if your 'rolla is a certified toyota used car, if so you can take it to your local toyota dealership and they should be able to take care of that for you, also the shift console light.
btw, welcome to the world of toyota Jae Hoon
