Hi there fellow windy owners. Once again i turn to your wise heads for another question.
When i stand in park i have a slight hesitation where the RPM drops when i press the accelerator, the check engine light is on i was told to clean or change the IAC i did the later instead of cleaning, still no difference i went to AutoZone the error code showed problems with EGR valve cleaned that as good as possible with Carb. Cleaner but now the studdering is constant, before it was only during accelaration going uphill and not every time. Now i feel slight vibrations all the time. Im going to get a new EGR valve to just going step by step until i find the problem. Is there any ideas out there what else it could be?

Are you still getting the CEL? How long have you had this problem? Sounds like something related to the fuel.

Yeah the light is still on after cleaning out the EGR valve i unhooked from the battery to reset the computer and the light was off for about 10 minutes of driving then it came back on. i have been adding injector cleaner and so on to the gas to get some stuff away i got a brand new fuel filter that i will put on this weekend.
The problem with occasional studdering has been since i pretty much got the car about 6 months ago.

It sounds like you may have clogged egr ports. Pull the vacuum line off of the top of the egr valve. If you have a small hose or some kind of line that you can slip into the vacuum lines place, you can apply vacuum (human power) while the engine is running. Be sure to cap off the vacuum line that you removed. If the engine stumbles, then the ports are clear. If it stumbles a little or not at all, then you have clogged egr ports which require the removal of the upper and lower intake. Not hard if you remove that cowling first. (Not hard either) Each runner will have a small ink pen size hole. That is the egr ports. I read one post on here that said he used a gun cleaning brush with success to clean them. Also the o-ring type gaskets on the intakes are reusable. You may also want to consider changing the isolator bolts while your in there. There is a newly designed one out.
