crank.. no start! fart!!

(1996, 2.2, 180k)ok, so i get no fuel pump whine, it clicks when i give it voltage.. but other than that.. nothin, but the belt side of the engine.. (front?) is leaky.. leaky like a mofo.. and its that pink antifreeze shit.. (doesnt taste to good btw) I was thinking that maybe my waterpump has gone to shit, and the sensor for that type of thing is making it so my fuel pump doesnt wanna work.. or maybe both things have gone to shit and i need a new car or somethin.

Re: crank.. no start! fart!!

well whart exacty is the problem your car want start are you have a leaking waterpump
I will try to start with the car not starting the first thing you need to do is see if you have fuel in the line you can do this by oppening the hood and find the fuel rail there should be a valve on there that you can unscrew when you unscrew it pust a pin threw there and see if there is fuel that is just a start
as for the water is it coming out from the water pump for sure are could it be comming from the water pump are could it be comming out from the head gasket I have never heard of the water pump and the fuel being on the same sensor

Re: crank.. no start! fart!!

The two problems are mnost likely unrelated.
If you don't hear the fuel pump-check the fuse. Then check the relay (there should be a test lead on the left side firewall. An electrical connector that has nothing to go to-connect that to B+ and have someone listen thru the fuel filler with the gas cap off for the whine of the fuel pump. If the pump runs with this wire connected to the battery +, the relay is bad.

I've heard on this board about all kindsa problems with Dex-Cool..dunno myself as I use the green stuff..
Waterpump gasket's an easy fix.
