Re: Found-- Bad Ground Wire

well for the negative battery cable, there should only be three connections, 1 to the block, 1 to the frame, and 1 to the body. you can trace those by hand till you get to them. no schematic required. if those are not loose, and dont look corroded or anything, remove all of them, including the connection to the battery, and test them for resistance. it should be very close to 0 ohms. if not, your cable has an internal break or damage somewhere, and is causing high reisitance, causing the heat build up.

Re: Found-- Bad Ground Wire

check all of your grounds, but i would pay particular attention to the ground to the engine block. if you find that one of the ground cables has more resistance than it should, you are going to have to replace the cables...

Re: Found-- Bad Ground Wire

that only having two ground cables could be the problem, but im not exactly sure. there might be a ground from the body to the engine to the battery or something.
