2000 3.8 Camaro, no acceleration with WOT

So here goes. I have a 2000 camaro with a 3.8 and a manual transmission. When I drive it normally or about 3/4 WOT it will rev all the way through to the limiter. If I hammer on it WOT it will stop producing power at about 4000rpms. I can turn no more rpms. It will do the same thing if I am sitting still and just reving it. I checked/replaced the fuel filter, I removed the cat's, checked the fuel pressure, the MAP sensor, the EGR valve and the MAF sensor. I checked and tested the clutch anticipate switch and that appears to be operating properly as well. I had another ICM that I tried with no success either. The only thing that I can think of next would be a PCM. Anyone else have this type of situation that may be able to shed some light on the topic?

Thanks in advance!

None of these are the culprits, it is distributorless ignition too.

Re: 2000 3.8 Camaro, no acceleration with WOT

i had a similar problem in my z, it would skip intermittently and when it got really hot outside it was real bad and i replaced a whole bunch of shit and what did the trick was the distributor, the distributor was firing to all 8 but it had a short in it or something and it was arking and all inside the housing was all burned up. check into that

If its not producing enough power, you probably need a V8.

No offense LS1Man maybe we should help him with his current problem and not bag on him for his choice of Maro. To each his own.
