Anyone know who to reset the computer?

I just replaced my ABS control module on my 98 Dango and now my ABS light is flashing. Everything is working and I talked to a shop and he told me it needs to be reset ($140 for a 2 minute job). I already tried disconnecting the battery cables for a about 20 minutes or so and it still didn't reset. I was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks?
Should I try and disconnect it longer?

It's very easy!

Disconnect the battery. Turn the key in the ignition to the start postion and hold for about 20 seconds. Release the key. Reconnect the battery and you are good to go.

It takes more than 20 seconds. I don't know exactly, but disconnect your battery, then go in the house and make a sandwich and drink a soda. It should be fine by then.

Light still flashing?

So... when you reconnect the battery will the light stop flashing?

I'm about to replace the ABS module on my 99; I've been told that I will still need to go into the dealership to get the "pinion set". Is this true? Will the light not go out until I do this?

Re: Anyone know who to reset the computer?

sorry for the bump... but this was falling down the threads, and I still desperately need an answer; please help!

A buddy told me that after the ABS control module is replaced, I'll have to take it into the dealership to have the "pinion setting" reset. He says this'll cost about $140, and I REALLY don't want to have to do that. Are there any other options?
