I need some major advice!!!

alright guys check this out. im fixing to buy a B20B from a friend of mine for $1000, and it comes with a B16A vtec head, and a B18C hydraulic tranny, a cut engine harness, and I'm going to put this in my 00 Civic EX. Now the question is, wut kind of motor mounts will i need, and what should i do with the cut engine harness, is there a way to put it together or do i have to buy a new harness. I need as much info as i can get, so i can gather all the parts, and do the swap with out any hassle. thanx

if you are good at wiring, by all means just get the electrical diagrams, for the motor(both halfs), the tranny, and the car itself and wire it yourself. if you arent upto such a task, give Place Racing a call, and tell them what you have and what you are getting and they can build a harness for you.

Re: I need some major advice!!!

well your gonna need to get the service manuals for each of the cars(96-00CRV, 94-95Del Sol or 99-00Civic Si, 96-02Integra GSR) all of which should have separate electrical manuals available instead of just getting the entire service manual. They are available from www.helminc.com As for the mounts, goto www.hasport.com they offer good deals and have some of the better pieces on the market.

Re: I need some major advice!!!

i'll back crxlvr up on those statements and would like to add... you could try searching the internet for those diagrams.

as for the mounts? what motor came with your car? here's my 2cent$......

my friends civic 2000 coupe had a d16y8 and someone else i know has a 4dr 92 civic ....
a deal was done and the 92 4dr ended up with a d16y8bottom/z6 top and the 2000 coupe got the z6bottom/y8 top.

everything bolted up fine in both cars without any mods = which should bring me to say the mounts from hasport for the 92 to 95 b series should work in the 2000 coupe engine bay. double check with hasport on that one. In a sense, anything is possible if you have the money = ove seen a rex with a built V8 rwd setup!

Re: I need some major advice!!!

my bad, your stock mounts will work so long as you aquire a B16A2 or the B16B not the B16A/A1/A3.

Re: I need some major advice!!!

not sure about the a/c but the power steering should be fine. just double check your mounts first, before re-using them, make sure there are no cracks or nothing.
