Re: Making Exhaust Louder
Im sorry, but un-mechanically inclined people asking stupid questions agitates me, but I suppose this is the place to do it. Im assuming it already has dual exaust, you can replace many different parts in your exaust system, you just need to know what your looking for, how much money you want to through down, do you want this to also give you more torque or horse power

Re: Making Exhaust Louder
Leave the exhaust alone, unless it is bad and needs replacing. You can get tailpipe inserts with a smaller I.D. but this will cause excess backpressure on your engine and may cause engine problems. If you leave your car alone, other than routine maintenance you will be much better off! Besides a louder car just draws attention to the man (police ) do you like red lights in your mirrors? Just my opinion! I have a 97 P1 and it's quiet as a mouse.

Re: Making Exhaust Louder
You could go the "redneck" route.
Crawl under the car with a hammer and a large nail and poke some holes in the mufflers. Or use a hacksaw to chop off the mufflers all together. Why is it these guys always want to make so much noise? Look around, dude. Some of the fastest, baddest cars on the road are whisper quiet... |

Re: Making Exhaust Louder
dude, some cars are meant to be loud and other like GM/CV's are meant to be quiet. YOu can make them fast but don't make them loud. I had thought of making my past GM loud but it's just not something you do. Make a mustang loud.

Re: Making Exhaust Louder
Cut out the stock mufflers and weld in a couple Flowmasters. Simple & effective without overdoing it.
