acura TL Type S??? any one ever race one??
hey sup there
just wondering if anyone has ever raced one and what they are capable of because my cuzin has a friend who has a 02 that wants to race me and im not sure if i should hes got a CAI and full exhaust work done he says he has 280hp ... but i dunno if thats even possible from just exhaust and CAI thats 20hp more then stock i personaly read on the net they run low 15's stock even with that 260hp and they only come in auto as well, if they really only run 15's stock then i should smoke him i think but im not sure if this is bogus internet info what are your opinions on this car? thanks

Actuallt the TL-S should run about a 14.9. So with twenty extra horses, he's probably doin' a 14.6-14.7. You're in a Z? You'll kill him.

i wouldnt under-estimate the TL type S, i personally drive a 1999 TL and lemme tell you, when vtec kicks in its pretty fast...and they're actually triptonic which is automatic/standard.
with intake and exhaust on a TL type S, it should be a pretty fast car. 14.3-14.6 in the 1/4 mile
