replacement fob

im new to the board, just found it today, and already i have learned how to tell if the car originally had keyless entry (it does). I bought a 98 malibu 3.1L from a used dealer Nov 2002 (no big problems except fuel injectors) but it didnt come with key fobs. it has the module, so i need fobs! there are a ton of them for sale on ebay. but since i have no fob, i have no model number. i hate the idea of going to a dealer, they are schmucks (at least in chicago). does anyone know the correct number for the fob? thanks in advance.

I think P/N is 16245103. Probably around $40-50 at GMPartDirect.com

so maybe you can do better on E-Bay.

yeah, i found info on the board. that is the right number too, thanks. you were dead on about the price so i will check ebay. but you were a definate help, thanks again
