'98 CD Player Help

Well guys, I just got my First car, and its a good one...A Sunfire. I've always been fond of the way these cars look, but aside from that, mine's got a slght problem...The CD player skips on the SLIGHTEST of Bumps, and also for no reason at all. Its not my CD's because they work in my stereo, other car radios, and my computer. I'm willing to buy a CD MP3 Player, my only problem is...I don't know how to get in there to replace the current one. Its a 1998. If anyone can help me to figure out how to take it out...let me know! Thanks much.

Re: '98 CD Player Help

well, on the 95, you open the glove box, remove the two (2) screws on the left hand side of the opening, and the radio plate comes right off. It's about that simple. I'm not real sure about the later years, but I hope it's as easy for you.

Re: '98 CD Player Help

I'm going to do a stereo replacement in a 98 sunfire, but one of my friends has said something about it possibly setting off the airbags... have any of you heard anything about this, or did you have this problem when switching out your stereo?
