Oil catch can... when it gets dirty:
I know that the $3.50 FRAM fuel filters from Kragen are disposable...they get dirty, u trash them, get a new one.
What do you do with the fancy $50 pretty looking ones when they get dirty? Are there drain plugs on them, or replaceable filters....? |

where do you buy one of those? and why would you buy one of those? when you can just use an auto zone brand that works really well.

Re: Oil catch can... when it gets dirty:
GReddy makes one, I don't know who else. You drain them, but you are talking about a few quart sized catch cans... and your car doesnt leak more than a quart every 10k miles or more from the valve cover. To answer your question you drain them, but I assume you remove it and dump instead of draining from being installed. Could be wrong though, never looked into them. If the track tech was any more thorough, he would have figured out that my VC line is pointed at the ground

Re: Oil catch can... when it gets dirty:
i know that the disposable ones are preftectly fine, its just that the engine bay would l0ok real purty with chrome and colors, a nice oil catcher would be a welcome addition. I just got a candy apple valve cover, billet spk cover, yellow wires, chrome fuse box lid, oil cap, ya'll! Each of those ads 50 gazillion hp! yeahZ. Anyways, yeah , i think you do dran em by removing a plug, just like an oil change.
