Supercharger + Nitrous

Does anyone have any experience with running a nitrous injection system on a supercharged/turbo vehicle? I have a 2001 BMW 540i (4.4L V8) running a Vortech V-2 supercharger @ 8 psi. I contacted many nitrous system companies and got a general consensus that on a supercharged/turbo vehicle the nitrous shot you are running is doubled due to the intercooling effect nitrous has when injected. So if you are running a 25 shot you will get an extra 25 horsepower from the nitrous cooling the air charge for a total increase of of 50 horsepower. Any input is appreciated! I plan on starting out with a 25 or 50 shot on my BMW.

Re: Supercharger + Nitrous

Nitros is pussy power ...but for best results (if yo uare installing it yoruself) i would have it injected post-intercooler....this will give you better results in cooling the gas mixture going into the engine. also make sure its a wet injection. since you are only running 8psi of boost im assumeing that you are either relying on the stock ECU to give you extra gas or you have only done minor modifications to the fule delivery system. a new fule pump, manual pressure regulator, and new fule rail(s). the manual presure regulator is so you can run a proper air/fule mixture with out the nitros but then when yo uare ready to flip the swich yo ucna keep you engin fat and happy so you dont detonate...or jsut get a wet injection system and it will sole all thoes problems...if i where to ever run nitros it would be direct injection. but direct injection nitros requires either new intake manifolds or modificatio to the manifolds that you have on it now and is quite a complex system so i wouldnt reccomend it....
