i had just purchased a 2004 tahoe LT and would like to throw on 24" lexani sterling rims . Heard rumors that you would have to change out your braking system to make up for the bigger rims,i really dont want to spend the extra money if it is not a MUST. Has it been done by you or anyone you know? Also would it rub in the wheel well while turning at stock height, if not how low would i be able to go without rubbing? thanks for the help.

Re: 24" rims on a 2004 tahoe LT
You will need to recalibrate your speedometer, the auto transmission uses the readings from the speedo sensor, and the MAF to shift the transmission, either that or change your shift points.

Re: 24" rims on a 2004 tahoe LT
You seriously need to upgrade your front and rear brakes now! The stock brake system was not meant for the increased mass of 20" plus wheels without upgrading. It's not just an increase in braking it's an accident waiting to happen! You will either hurt yourself or somebody else.
