1999 sl 500 horn problem

On my SL 500 (1999) the horn has their own mind, it only works when it wants too. Anybody have any solution for it?

Well, my mechanic say its nothing wrong with, but it only works periodically, can't figure out why, it sometimes works, sometimes don't. its a mistery.

Hm, sounds like maybe the contact between the air bag and the steering wheel or maybe the connections are loose at the horn itself. As long as it's not going off when you don't it too I wouldn't worry about it. Horns are overrated anyways.

i heard a horn on a 500 or 55 AMG thjink was around 2002-2005 not sure

sounded amazing, really low sound, didnt sound like it was dual, low n high... was soft sound not harsh at all

I had a similar problem. Finally, I’ve changed the operating relay. It worked ever since.
