Re: wont start, just a click

Turn the key and hold it like you where going to start it. Get someone to beat on the starter houseing with a hammer handle or something. Dont hit it too hard though. If this works and your car starts then you need to replace your starter.

Starter soleniod maybe? I dunno though, it probably shouldnt even click then. When you say click do you mean one click as soon as you turn the key or will it keep clicking as long and you hold the key in the start position?

Are you positive its not the battery? This just happended to me yesterday. I was just about to put on my O/R H-pipe and I got out came back 30 seconds later tried to start the car and it wouldnt start. When I turned the key it just did 1 click and thats all it did. We tried jumping it also and it didnt work. I just went down to wal-mart bought a cheap battery but that in there and now it runs fine again.

No current, check and clean all the connections. Pos and Neg side, should be the problem, at least that has been the problem when I have had the same symptoms.
