4Runner Receiver Replacement Issue

I have replaced my 4runner’s factory deck with a new Alpine head-unit. It was an all day project because you have to remove the arm-rest console before removing the center dash panels. My problem now is that the radio has much worse reception now. Late model 4runnners have the antenna built into the glass. There are two antenna cables that connect to the factory receiver. A standard antenna cable and one that is smaller. All aftermarket receivers have only one antenna input. I only connected one of them. I do not want to mount a second traditional metal antenna on her. So is there another head unit out there with two antenna inputs? Or is there an adaptor that will convert the 2 to 1? Thanks in advance...Steve

I just learned that the antenna has an amplifier. So one would wire 12 volts to this device in order to get the antenna to work properly. The dual type "In-glass" setup is called a diversity system. So for anyone replacing ahead unit on a 4th gen. runner; wire the blue power antenna wire, from your deck, to the antenna amp. Or any other 12v source to the antenna amp.

One antenna is for AM and one is for FM
