I think this is a common problem, I tried to change the rear suspension on my 1.4 GL civic. But I broke the bolt that holds the shock absorber to the control arm.
What do I do now, I live in england and honda parts are very expensive over here. Does any one know where I can get a new bolt or do I need a new control arm? Are there any websites that sell these parts? I will be grateful for any help. Thanks, Stu |

Re: Tried changing the rear suspension but broke the bolt.
You can probaby just go to a hardware store and get a new bolt. Just make sure it is a high grade material since suspention bolts need to be very strong.

Yeah, its a regular bolt, use a bolt extractor to remove the rest of the bolt (or drill it out and clean the threads with a tap if you have to) and just use a Grade 8 bolt.... but thats standard so it would be like a grade 10 or something metric.

So I dont need to buy a new control arm, I can just put a standart bolt through it, as long as its strong enough
