automatic to manual transmission

I was just entertaining the idea of putting a manual transmission in my 96 4.3L Blazer and was wondering how complicated/practical it would, does anyone have any experience in this or know of anyone doing this?

Re: automatic to manual transmission

Think of it this way you wounld have to add the clutch pedal. Clutch it self and all the lines for the hydrolics. it would be a big pain in the ass and prob would have nothing but problems with it. I just got the stock clutch put on my 98 z28 and the parts alone were $600 or so with labor of $250. No matter what you do it will cost abit

Re: automatic to manual transmission

It would be a headache in a hurry. You would need the PCM reprogrammed, rewire the starter circuit, cruise control wiring and do some more wiring if it's 4x4 and there's probably something I'm forgetting
