92 735iL Radio/CD System Code Lost - How to get it?

Hi

I bought a 92 735iL an year ago without any owners' manual. When the battery was drained, it was replaced with a new one. I don't have the security code for the Radio/CD system. Is there anyway to get it?

I am first time BMW owner. Any suggestions/ideas you could would be of great help.

Thanks in advance...

-G

when it happened to me, someone told me to go to the nearest dealership, give them the VIN of the car and (if it's still the stock radio), they can give the code to you at no extra charge (dealership policies varies, so i'm not sure about the ones near you) and that's what i did. you maybe able to call them but some of them might not give it to you over the phone as they would think that the you might have stolen or might be planning on stealing one.

the best way is to give them the Serial # which is on a tag, on the back of the radio.
