I had them on my Civic, they performed fine. For the money you can't beat them. They did ok lowered 1.5 inches.

If you can afford better, then get the agx's. I have the gr-2's on my car and it handles alright. I think my main problem is the coilovers im using (cheap ebay) But the dampers themselves are decent.

Re: soo what dose every one think about kyb gr-2 shocks

ya they're ok unless the bastards at the shop that installed them forgot to put in the bumpstops like i've experienced. Unless you wanna go through all that hassle, make sure they put them in or your shocks will blow after about 2 weeks.

If by old ones you mean the stock and by new then you mean the KYB's then you should definitely get the KYB's. Not only will your performance be affected but most of all, the 4g's are old cars now so if you have your stock shocks with aftermarket springs or coilovers, your shocks will be bouncy as hell and they'll blow in a matter of months. Keep your ride stiff with new KYB's

its a piece of rubber... dont really go bad when you take it off....

.... that means you can reuse your old ones.
