70 chevelle ss 396 factory carb question

wondering if anybody could help me out a little

i own a 1970 chevelle ss 396 matchin numbers car
i was wondering if anybody new what size (cfm) of a carb did the 70 chevelle ss 396 came with factory. i know its a quadrajet 4bbl the numbers on the carb are 7040204 FF 1260. thanks

Im not sure about the 70 model, but the 69 SS 396 came with an 850 cfm

Carb

Most were 750 CFM unless your engine was a special high performance engine.

70402204

70= rochester
40= 1970
2= regular state emissions/ Not a Ca car or high altitude state car.
04= even number is for a automatic.
