Slow Dohc Vtec Engine! :( Whyy!!!!!!!

Hey all i am new here and i was wondering if u all coudl help me a prob my friend is having. he owns a sol VTEC and his car was driving once with very low oil and he is having problems now. he is losing alot of power, he cant even beat a d 16. he said he lost about 1.5-2 quarts of oil in 3 weeks and cant find were its going, he says there is no smoke coming out of the exhaust so he doesnt htink its burning or atleast as fast as he is losing it. any help would be great! i thought he might need some new piston rings.? idk if i am right ,

ohh yea he said the longer he drives it the slower it gets. he said when he first drives in the am its fine and then it get slower as the day goes on. thanks peace


i just found out that WHITE smoke pours out of the exhaust when floored to a 8000 rpm

check the head gasket? check all gaskets? check all seals? sounds like the head gasket is going, but I could be wrong. Pull off the valve cover and see if there's any excessive buildup on the top end. Check the oil pressure and the oil pan itself, as well. B16's can and will eat themselves if left unattended
