need accord advice, i know NOTHING!!!
i was looking into buying a 94' accord, very nice. v-tech, cd, power everthing, moonroof, ac, cc, 17' wheels, for $3500 obo. problem, it has 213 k miles
. i am all for it, but that is because i know nothing of the mechanic of cars. i know hondas are the cream of the crop, but is 213 k miles too much? i would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.

For a 94? Yes. I have a 1992 Accord and I have 233k miles on it (commute backnforth to college). Then again, Hondas last for a very long time if the maint. is kept up on the car. Before I decided to purchase, I'd look into taking into a repair shop so they can check it out, also you wanna look under the hood for any leaks or anything, also you can check if the engine is okay or if the oil changes were kept up by pulling out the dipstick of the oil and seeing if it's black, if it's a black looking and very thick substance then it maybe because the oil changes werent kept up. It's a good price for a 94, but if I were you I'd have a second opinion check it out. Would save you from the headache down the line.

Also ask the person who is selling it why they want to get rid of it. People usually have legitmate excuses.

i just got back from seeing the car. it's really nice. the girl was selling it because she had already bought a new car and was trying to get rid of the old one. i don't know, it drove kinda iffy on the highway, but that could be because it was lowered. anyways, i am still looking into it, and thanks for the ace advice.

As with any used car, there are going to be minor problems wrong. Anyways you have a period of 30 days after purchasing the car to keep contact with the seller on what went wrong and what can be done in fixing the steps. I say go for it, like I said my 92 has 233k on it and it still runs like a dream (just finding that I have to replace everything on it now). Good luck.

Spend the $85 or so for a mechanic to do a professional complete check on the car.
