paint for door handles...

hey guys, gotta questions.... what kind of paint should I use to paint the black door handles to match the car color, white?

A high gloss white and then clear coat it... probably the white of your car if you can find it.

Yup. That's what I did. Fast-dry Hi-gloss enamel.
My car's white, too.

so, the first thing to do... i gotta take them off right??? then high gloss white and the clear coat them...??
for how long do i leave the car whitout door handles, how long would it take..???

'bout two coats of white, then 3 of clear (since they'll be handled and rubbed a lot). let dry about 45 minutes between each coat.

I'd leave them to dry overnight at least.

Dont know where you are, but Napa Parts Stores around here can match any color and put it in a spray can for about 14 bucks. Then you can buy the gloss to put over it.

You can either remove them or you can just mask off the area around but make sure u mask off enought so u dont get over spray,
