2002 Impala Stalling Out

Ideas as what would cause (and how bad is it, $$ wise) misfiring in cylinder one on Impala 2002? Plugs, injector flooding cylinder, etc.?? Stalls out around 30 mph and real bad at pulling hills. Service light came on and I had code pulled, which showed misfire in cylinder one.

Re: 2002 Impala Stalling Out

yeah, I would say ask in the impala forum as well, it might be a common problem or something. but I would check the plugs and wires, escpecially the wires, look everywhere on the #1 wire to see if it was sitting on a manifold or something that gets hot and see if it melted, or is cut ot torn and not working. might need a new distributor cap and rotor, those two things are cheap as hell, probably get both for under $20, plugs are cheap too, maybe $15 at most if you get expensive ones, wires are about $30 and up depending on what brand and quailty. but definitely post in the impala forum.
