Hi all:
I searched for this topic and didn't see it, hope I am not repeating a common question... I am ready to replace all 3 external drive belts in my 2000 Tacoma. I can see the adjustment screws for two of the belts, however I don't see one for the A/C belt. How do I loosen this bad boy so I can replace this sucker??? Any help or advice relative to the other 2 belts is also appreciated. THanks! Kevin |

Re: Replacing all Belts, need help with A/C belt
The A/C belt is adjusted and removed by loosening the idle pulley lock nut (torque 29 ft-lbs) and then loosening the idle pulley adjusting bolt under the pulley.
PS belt has pivot bolt (32 ft-lbs), adjusting bolt and lock nut (32 ft-lbs). Alternator belt has pivot bolt (38 ft-lbs), adjusting bolt and lock nut (25 ft-lbs). |
