B3000 engine swaps

Hi there, I own a mazda B3000 4x4 ext cab pickup, and the 3.0 V6 seems to be getting rather...tired.
I'm interested in what kind of swaps are most easily accomplished, I'm most interested in a V8 swap, be it a 289, 302~or maybe even a chevy 400~with mods of course. I'm looking for helpful advice from people that know thier stuff, any help is appreciated. Thanks! ps~It's a 5 speed manual.
