starter wont disengage

On my 93 sse after starting engine soleniod wont return. It keeps grinding away. Is there a way to aviod removing starter? Or Can I remove starter without dismounting engine???

have you tryed to hit it with a hammer just light hits that might buy you a few months are so
and when that day come that you need to chang the starter you do not need to dismount the engine it is in fact one of the most easy things to do

you are right Stinkinlincoln. It came off east. They left apath to put it out from the top. Thanks a million.
