Unhappy My driver side headlight

My driver side headlight motor stays running for about 10 seconds after i turn the lights off. Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause?

Re: My driver side headlight

the gear is probly stripped. thats a major problem with any firebird. they make the gears out of cheap azz plastic. you can find one online for about 30 bucks i think. or if your cheap like me there is an alternative. i got bored one day so i took the motor apart, filled in the stripped part with epoxy, and then recut the grooves out with a hobby knife. its cheap and definitely ghetto but it worked great. been about a year now and it still works. good luck

or you could do what I did and replace them with the brass ones.

sounds to me like the gears are stripped and and starting to go. My motors both did the same thing before I had to replace them. Soon enough, it wont work at all. Save yourself some heartache and replace it soon. Just my There's nothing quite like having to tug your headlights up in the bar parking lot to make you look like a tool!
