Lumina Ignition Module??? Is this the issue
I post again seeking advice i have a 1991 lumina 3.1 sedan that has a very noticable miss in the engine.. I t runs rough and at times has no power... I smell gas at start up.
I took it to a mechanic to have it scan testes it came out fine so i took it to a different mechanic to get a second opinion he took the keys and told me to come back. After 2 hours his reception gave me a call saying they found the problem that it was a faulty Ignition Module and bad Ignition coils and for 500 more they would fix it right up.....the mechanic would not even come out to see me when i picked up my car so i dont even know what tests he ran... Seeing as i only paid 1000 i was hesitant to pay up. Anyone have this problem and is this the fix. Also how easy is it for me to do so i can save on labour? Thx |

The misfire is probably a bad coil pack. Is it a constant miss, or is it kind of random? |

Re: Lumina Ignition Module??? Is this the issue
The coil packs and the module (under the coils) are easy to do on that one. No specific tools or know-how are required. I'd do it yourself, and save about $300.
