My future Camaro (2 weeks)

Ok... Here's the deal. I found a guy with an 86 Camaro for $300. He thinks he blows the engine but a friend of mine who is a good mechanic thinks it's just lifters. Anyone know what a 350 for it would run or how much it would take to get the lifters fixed? I'm not too good under the hood (yet) so just let me know what you think. And does anyone have any suggestions on a good performance exhaust for that car. The body/interior is in good shape. Thanks for anything you can offer.

well you can get a short block 350 for around a grand. if everything else on the engine is good to go you could just swap all the parts over...
