sorry i was the one that brought it up, there is a difference in the exhaust system on the fed. spec that is more free flowing, the cali spec has extra sound deadening stuff due to complaints on the noise the exhaust made thus the 5 hp

also the fed spec exhaust has an O2 sensor and the cali spec does not

I'm not exactly totally sure on everything they changed all i know is there's an extra cat and restrictions on the cali spec.
2000 and few 2001 are fed.spec. everything beyond that is cali best way i know to tell
